“Sinigang” by Marie Aubrey J. Villaceran is a story that involves extramarital affairs. If we read the story we will know that “Liza” is a daddy’s girl but she’s keeping her distance to her father because her father have an affair to other woman and they had a child.
The moral that I had learned throughout reading the strory is that , despite of what the circumstances that could surround us, we should always remain steadfast onto ourselves because the problem is not the problem itself , but sometimes our attitude towards the problem itself, we should always think positive. This story taught me how to forgive even though how painful it is. We should know how to forgive others especially when it’s one of your family members. We all made mistakes, when we commit stupid deeds. Also if we are able to forgive others, we also learn to forgive ourselves in situations of self-guilt.

As a 21st Century learner, I already encounter the same case in this generation. There are some of my friends that has a similar story. It’s hard for me to see them having grudges to their father but I still respect their decision because it’s also hard for them to accept it. I’m lucky that I didn’t experience it and I also don’t want it. I’m also mad to the married men that are cheating. They didn’t think what their family would feel and also for the woman that become a mistress. If they don’t want their child to be mad at them, then don’t do that mistakes.
